Possible Expansion to Include Ontonagon Co. in the Future

Non-Exempt | Part-Time @20 Hours/Week | 9.5 Months of the Year

Relevant Details:

The position is non-exempt for 9.5 months out of the year (generally mid-August to June dependent on the school calendar). Salary is dependent on experience (Minimum Starting at $16.50/Hour).

The Program Coordinator will work primarily with our High Five Mentoring Program in local school districts (Currently: Hurley High Five Mentoring with +1 local school district TBD for 2025-2026). Major responsibilities include:

  • planning and coordinating site and school-based mentoring programs; 
  • program development and enhancement;
  • conducting enrollment, training, intake and assessment of program participants;
  • providing professional support for mentoring matches; 
  • coordination and on-site supervision of mentoring sessions;
  • work within a Salesforce-based Information Management System;
  • collaborating with schools, community agencies and services; 
  • assist in community outreach, fundraising, agency/program capacity building.

What you Bring:

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred for this position. A combination of education and relevant work/volunteer experience will be considered. Experience in human services, social services, education or a related field is ideal. Experience working with youth, managing programs and/or coordinating volunteers is helpful. Knowledge of non-profit organizations is beneficial. Basic computer skills are necessary: Office Suite, email/Internet, and database proficiency. Reliable transportation and travel to local schools is required.
